AIM Ltd asked for a selection of images to reflect their class leading machining capabilities which gave me the opportunity for some unique shots.
The small form factor and wireless connectivity of the Fuji XT-3 meant we could get experimental with compositions. We loaded the camera into the giant CNC robots which then moved the camera around giving some very dynamic images.
The team were really inviting and let me get in very close to the action. I had UV filters on all my lenses as swarf was flying around very close to the camera.
AIM provide the aeronautical industry with complex 5-axis machined components and it was great to see a mix of highly technical CNC and hands on workmanship.
